Lee Demarbre
Director, Editor
Since high school, Lee has worked behind cameras of
all sorts: video, broadcast television and now film. He has studied
film in school and at home and owns Ottawa's largest collection of
foreign and hard-to-find movies from around the world.
The success
of Lee's faux trailer Harry Knuckles (1998) prompted him
to follow it up with a short feature, Harry Knuckles and
the Treasure of the Aztec Mummy (1999), a narrative starring
the man who would become Canada's first action hero, Harry Knuckles.
He then immediately began work on Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter (2001),
which has met with overwhelming acclaim from audiences and critics
worldwide.
Other directing credits include P.O.V. – a
Frank Cole Tribute Film (2001); Where's
Your Bobber? (2002); and Harry Knuckles
and the Siege of the Leopard Lady (TV) (2003). Along the way,
Odessa Filmworks productions have carried home fistfuls of awards
and garnered a rabid fan base.
Lee recently completed a second Knuckles
sequel called Harry Knuckles and the Pearl Necklace (2004) and
the digital short Bzzzzzzz (2005).
